‘The Graduate Art Prize offers the UK’s most exciting art graduates the chance to win a major cash prize, a group exhibition, art materials and representation from the UK’s leading art rental consultancy.’
I was invited to apply for this prize by Jesse from the ARTIQ team after she saw my work at the MA show at Camberwell. Roadkill was one of the 20+ shortlisted and exhibited works and I was most warmly welcomed by all at ARTIQ. The exhibition was held at Herbert Smith Freehills City of London office. It wasn’t possible to wall mount the sculpture, but he punk song was accessible on wireless headphones. Responses I had at the PV were also very generous but it was all a rather strange experience due to the environment. No matter, people liked the work enough to want to show it.
